ツ why’s and what for’s

There’s a lot of stuff I do not understand, and even though I would ask my family, they cannot make me understand, I guess. Well if they can’t,  then no one can but my self I guess. But I don’t care. I just feel like posting this for people to know much of me; err my ideas I mean.

First thing. Going to church. I know it shows how childish I am, but I really don’t want to go to church. All Sundays, they force me to attend mass. Even though, they know how I feel and think about the religion, and I know myself that they do not care. Maybe because they cannot feel at all. The doubts that come in my mind, they have no idea. I completely disagree on everything the church says. I do not have proof but you know the instance when you start feel something wrong so you search for it and later on, you find that thing inside you but due to the harshness of the people around you, it’s very hard to express yourself most especially if it’s your family listening. That’s just one about why i hate religion so much.

Religion as a requirement not by school only but my family’s. I don’t know why people are crazy over it. Kill me if it’s too offensive but think of this first before doing so. WHY? I may sound weird with this stupid question. I know it is easy to answer but i have follow ups. WHY do we have to? err..* let me rephrase that* Why do you have to? you might answer me with a question; do i not believe that it’s true. To answer that. NO. I only partially believe.  Cause, first and fore most, All of the religions in the world as i’ve learned in Social Science, they all have the very same way of proving how stable their foundations are. Each proves how true their systems yet we, as mankind live only as one. We live in the same way as other humans do. But we believe different things. Look at the top view, we’re doing exactly the same and spotting the difference from that view might take the hell out of the ground. Bottom line is, we, mankind believe in different stuff yet we turn out to function as only one machine. Then what is the freaking purpose of these diversities (btw, the root of diversity i speak of is none other than this religion) ?

Let’s put it the simpler way. I don’t believe. They want me to. They do stuff to make me so. They ask me to go to church, i still don’t believe. And what is the damn purpose of that?!

I know that im weird. Get used to it. I live to be like this.  And i believe that i have my own purpose, everything i do, consciously and subconsciously, has its own purpose. Nobody interferes with that. No one.

And to my family. Please. You want me to go to church? force me? Fine. I go. But that wouldn’t change me. neither my ideas.

Church is stupid, i mean it was a smart idea back then, to keep people in line and to lay the foundations for morality. the question is not why we have to go to church, but why people want to, the answer is simple people fear death therefore they want to explain what happens after it. where there is nothing, (until proven by hard evidence) you cannot explain something that cannot be observed by the person who experiences death, the moment we are able to explain death and the afterlife means that there is something after death and so far no one has done that.
diversity was not caused by religion since it existed way before religion, diversity caused different veiws of life and death in effect religion.
What is the goal of every religion? it is that when we die and we have done (what ever the religion has intended for us to do) we transcend death and gain some form of eternal peace which is what all people want, this hope is what we all cling too thats why people follow a religion. but in a rational way of thinking the simplest explanation is always the best explanation until proven wrong and the simplest one is we die, thats it >=D

lol dan.. you speak of death too much.. creepy >.<

No. People believe in different stuff and sometimes end up fighting each other for it. Christians and Muslims fought each other during the Crusades. Thousands of people died because of the diversities in religion. The Spaniards used religion to put some Filipinos to their side. If there was no diversite and we Filipinos were not Pagan to start with, things might not have been the same. So these diversities do make huge differences, and mankind does not function as one machine, unless by machine you mean something that hurts itself very badly.

Haha nagenglish pa ako. Kasi english rin post mo e. Counterenglish!

al. i say try looking at the generalized point of view. whatever each races believes, they turn out to do something very much alike. and what i meant was people act as one and this is due to the reason why they do. Greed it is. and since people live because and through it, the most probable acts and endings for everyone will be just the same. and this point of view is the non biased one.

  5. Al says:

If you think about it, machines act in a completely unified way. There are occasional times when it doesn’t act completely well, but the general trend is that it acts as one. Humanity acting in a completely unified way? Partly, but not completely.

  6. drewey says:

yes we are unified. try imagining the end. lol.. try imagine the reason or the beginning. hahas. now put them together.. as ive said.. we are machines. nature programmed us to be this way though we may find ways to break through nature’s way, we still end up in something common to all even with machines. death for the finishing move =D and btw, i was referring to humans as machines regarding religion of course.

  7. Al says:

Hindi ko pa rin maintindihan. Pano tayo naging unified =/

Of course there are vague similarities, but that isn’t unification. Just because people have something in common doesn’t mean they are united. For example, here in the Philippines, there are many variants of Christianity. They have a lot, almost everything, in common. That doesn’t mean they are united/unified.

There are many similarities/things in common in people, but how do these things make people comparable to acting as one machine? How does having things in common equate to being one machine? lolhaba

  8. drewey says:

simply we all act as one due to their goal. I know where the problem is :)) you misinterpreted it as the generalized one. i was referring to religion =))

  9. karlosgwapo says:

yeah it’s stupid going to church but sometimes there’s this feeling of difficulty in me that makes me say “oh God what did I do?” it forced me to go to mass on saturday evening

  10. drewey says:

well in my case, i really dont like going to mass even i get the same feeling of yours.
